Season Sparkles But Dies With No Fizz....!
Great start with the new signings doing well, but a lot of infighting with the new & old taking sides, it was inevitable morale would suffer. We were playing some great football, progressing in the Cups & getting rave revues from opponents, but the choice of skipper was not popular & the non appearance of players who got lost on more than one occasion, saw the team depleted on too many occasions, leading to rifts in the camp.
After going down to Crowborough in a replayed FA Vase tie, our season capitulated, with only one game played in eight weeks over the Xmas period, dissillusion was the flavour of the day, & we finished the season losing seven out of ten winning just once drawing two.
A dissappointed end to what promised to be our best ever.
